A number of associates and board members from the Transnational Foundation of Peace and Future Research (TFF) have decided to prepare and launch an anthology of articles in coming months to provide a broader understanding of China.
In this second article, Peter Peverelli, a TFF associate, examines how many Western perceptions of China—whether as a threat, an opportunity, a friend, or an adversary—are rooted not in politics but in cultural differences, as explained through the 7-Dimension (7-D) model of national culture developed by Fons Trompenaars.
